New range of set top boxes aimed at operators unveiled by Dune HD
TV Connect – London – 18 March 2013 – Operators can now benefit from the power of social TV thanks to an extended partnership between Dune HD and Beenius. At this week’s TV Connect Dune HD will showcase its new range of advanced set top boxes, now available pre-loaded with Beenius’ Beesmart interactive TV middleware platform. This includes the newly upgraded BeeSocial TV functions which cost-effectively enable new social media services.
BeeSocial TV enables users to connect and share their TV experience across social networks with Beesmart. By making it simple and intuitive for customers to integrate social media with TV viewing, operators benefit from increased loyalty, greater revenues per user and brand promotion on social networks.
Dune HD’s new range of innovative full HD media players and connected boxes has been specifically developed to meet the demanding needs of operators, making it faster to deploy IPTV and Video on Demand services to their subscribers.
Showcased will be the Dune HD Connect StickSTB, the world’s most compact means of OTT and IPTV content delivery in an HDMI stick, as well as the new Dune HD TV-102 and TV-303D, both high performance, full-featured devices with an elegant form factor. All products in the Dune HD line feature the powerful Sigma Designs chipset for extreme speed and performance, full HD 1080p video, IPTV/VOD/OTT streaming video, internal or external storage options and elegant, modern designs. Additionally Dune HD will demonstrate Qarva’s FastSwitchTM, sub-500mS channel changing technology integrated into its products for IPTV applications.
