Imago Group plc, Europe's largest video communications distributor, has announced its appointment as Master Distributor for Datmedia's range of Datpresenter WebTV software solutions.
Datpresenter enables users to communicate in a new, accessible, creative and interactive way. Through its combination of hardware and software, users of Datpresenter can create and brand their own WebTV channel with synchronised rich media, building up a library of live and on-demand webcasts for use in a wide range of applications.
No special technology skills are required to create programming. Instead, the Datpresenter Wizard will help users to click and build content that is future-proof and meets with WebTV industry standards.
Datpresenter is SCORM (Shareable Content Object Reference Model) compliant, underlining its suitability for delivering high quality training materials online, in both educational and business environments. It is equally ideal for on-line demonstrations to customers during which users can simultaneously run streaming video synchronised with PowerPoint, or display secondary video or ads. Employees can be briefed at the desktop and televised seminars and lectures can be delivered to a wide audience. The content can also be published onto a website, social network or offline on to DVD or CD.
Datmedia will be demonstrating Datpresenter at the IBC show at the Amsterdam RAI starting September 11th. Digital Rapids are hosting the Datmedia product on their booth No IP511 in the IPTV zone. Datpresenter has been developed for a small group of prestige customers and the full product is now available for general distribution across world markets, hence the company's new agreement with Imago Group.
Imago will be introducing Datmedia and its solutions across its growing distribution network which now extends from the UK through France, Belgium, Holland, Spain, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, into Eastern Europe and the Baltic States, South Africa and China.
Peter Nice, Head of New Business Development at Imago, said: "We have been working with a number of encoder manufacturers for some time. The beauty of the Datmedia product is that it can be used with an existing video encoder, or allows the customer to chose their own preferred encoder product."
Stephen Clee, Founder and Managing Director of Datmedia said "The fact that Datpresenter can be integrated with video encoder equipment, interactive white boards, Learning Management & Content Management systems meant we needed a partner that not only understands this market but also delivers to the highest standards in this market. We see this partnership with Imago Group as a corner stone in both our SaaS and Installer distribution chain."
