Freelance Technical Producer – Streaming Media
Chalfont St. Peter, Buckinghamshire and on occasion various locations within London, the wider UK and Europe
Job Description:

Who are we looking for?
We are looking for a team player to join us as on an ad hoc basis as and when required. As an experienced technical producer you will work primarily at our earth station and remote encoding facility at Chalfont. However some work requires us to set-up and encode on site at various venues in London and when the need arises other destinations with the UK and Europe. This exciting and very demanding role requires that live and on-demand webcasts are captured, streamed, and archived.

The following is an outline of the duties and responsibilities to be undertaken by a self employed technical producer. The list of duties is not exhaustive and from time to time duties may be added to, or removed, by the Management Team as appropriate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Working as part of the team to assist with the planning and technical delivery of any webcast / broadcast / production that the company is managing
  • Help plan and coordinate event signal acquisition and processing
  • Coordinate encoding and production resources schedule
  • Coordination and communication with any on-site production teams, venue, third party audio visual providers and clients
  • Strong communication links with the entire project team throughout all stages of the webcast: pre-event, live-event and post-event and share knowledge and experience in the form of a written post-broadcast summary

Qualifications:

Qualifications & Experience:

 

  • At least four years experience in a broadcast operation and at least two of those years at the coal face delivering webcasting solutions for clients
  • A full clean driving license
  • Experience with webcasting and streaming media technologies and processes
  • Broadcast production experience or corporate video production experience
  • Two years client support experience
  • General HTML, JavaScript and PHP knowledge an advantage
  • Final Cut Pro experience an advantage
  • Excellent organizational skills and time-management
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced, team-centred environment with a flexible schedule
