Cleeng - SVOD Sales Director

Job Description:

Responsibilities:

Partnership Development

    • Develop partnership strategies, priorities, and relationship/integration objectives.
    • Understand key strategies (target markets, verticals, client types, etc.) of Cleeng’s partners, and strengthen annual plans to achieve goals.
    • Develop business through partner lead generation.
    • Identify business opportunities for broadening and deepening existing partnerships through strategic engagements across both organizations.
    • Build relationships with media salespeople, communicating Cleeng’s value proposition and competitive positioning with the goal of being included on new Tier 1 and Tier 2 opportunities.


Sales Management

    • Build pipeline and manage the sales process from initial opportunity qualifying, through to contract signature.
    • Produce new, and advance existing, opportunities generated through industry events, partnerships/resellers, marketing sources, and cold pursuits.
    • Able to position yourself as an expert in the tools and strategies required to launch a successful OTT service & solution.
    • Achieve sales targets agreed.


SVOD Business Unit Leadership

  • Drive market insights and coordinate with the VP of SVOD Sales in rallying internal resources to support SVOD sales and partnership strategies.
  • Identify product improvements through customer and partner feedback
  • Represent SVOD Business Unit in the Americas

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have the following Skills & Experience:

  • 3+ years’ experience in partnership management and development and/or B2B sales
  • Experience, and/or strong interest, in digital (OTT) media, broadcasting, rights management, or related industries/technologies.
  • Ecommerce experience is a plus, particularly for recurring billing, subscriber, and identity management solutions.
  • Self-motivated to continuously expand professional and industry knowledge.
  • Excellent relationship management, leadership, and creative skills. Have the ability to inspire passion into others.
  • An eagerness to work in a challenging, start-up environment, liaising with an international sales team in Amsterdam and Sydney.
  • M.B.A. or M.A. in related field (business, sales, marketing)
  • Fluent in English. +Spanish preferred. Other languages (Spanish, Portuguese, French, Japanese) a plus.
  • Punctual, innovative, self-starter

Cleeng is an ecommerce company that provides a platform for content owners to monetize videos online. The company specializes in live pay per view and subscription video on demand (SVOD). 

Cleeng was founded in 2011, and is headquartered in Amsterdam, with offices across the globe including Poznan and New York. 

Over the last five years the company has seen enormous growth both in size and revenue. The majority of revenue is derived from the live pay per view line of business, with a huge market share (65%) attributed to the Sports vertical.
