StreamCity asks “Why are you paying so much for your online video streaming?”

StreamCity’s MAGIC Publisher (version 3.0) creates a new Industry defining Pricing Model.

London, England,(07 Dec 2010)

On December 1st 2010 StreamCity announce the launch of MAGIC Publisher (Version 3.0) the third major release of the award winning MAGIC video management platform with an industry defining business  model.

The ‘Smarter Way' will allow users free access to all of the video management features within MAGIC Publisher ( v3) , with them only paying for video storage and data transferred from video views.

There are no fixed term contracts, no monthly price band limits, no support charges, no annual contracts, no minimum fees and specifically no excess charges, additionally users will acquire volume discounts as their video views increase.

StreamCity  believe that for too long owners of websites who wish to stream and manage their own video have been put off by the steep cost to entry , annual license fees and pricing frameworks which punish them for using more data than their set monthly allowance.

Dave Greene-Taylor Managing Director of StreamCity said

"The days of excess charging are over, it's called video on demand and as such that's how the user should pay. You pay for your other services as you use them and only for the amount you use. Why should streaming video be any different?

StreamCity have been established in the online video streaming industry for over 9 years amassing over 200 clients who already use the MAGIC video platform including high street brands such as Lipsy, La Senza, BooHoo and Clarks', major UK charities such as Cancer research, Mencap, Oxfam and Wateraid, major blue-chips such as Bauer media, Monster Europe, Total Jobs and the SAGA group.

The updated product has many new features viz.

1           HTML5 players

2           Video Site maps for improved SEO

3           Enhanced Analytics with Magic Publisher Advanced Analytics

4           Batch Uploading and Encoding

5           Web Video portal players
