RR Media Announces Value-Added Online Sports Services Available on Any Screen

Enables sports organizations to offer dedicated premium and subscription based content to worldwide audiences, accessible from any screen and device

RR Media (NASDAQ: RRM), a leading provider of global digital media services to the broadcast and media industries, is providing a new value-added online sports platform for sports organizations, in partnership with Pi Telecom.  Users get access to various free and subscription based premium content on any screen and device. This solution opens up exciting premium content to sports fans around the world, enhancing viewers’ engagement and increasing monetization opportunities with subscriptions, advertising, merchandising and social media experiences.

Users can access and watch on-demand and exclusive content and services from sports federations, leagues, teams, broadcasters, channels and media rights agencies. These include: official on demand and live streaming content channels; archive content, such as classic matches; premium highlights and feature interviews; multi-lingual content; and services such as merchandise and ticketing and accessing social media. The platform is already being used by FC Barcelona for their Game PASS service, offering users the ability to watch FC Barcelona matches on demand, including the greatest Barça matches in La Liga, the Copa del Rey and the Champions League, along with exclusive content about the players.
