Cabletime Cites International Growth for Continued Success in IPTV Market

Strong financial growth for Cabletime is based on export sales

Newbury, Berkshire, UK(19 Mar 2012)

Cabletime, developer of the powerful MediaStar range of IPTV distribution solutions, has announced a strong financial performance this year, despite the worldwide financial downturn, with significant growth coming from its export markets, primarily the USA and Asia.

The company, which has subsidiary operations in Hong Kong and on the East Coast of America, has seen overseas sales overtake domestic in the last few years, and reports that two thirds of its overally turnover now comes from export.

Nick Bradford, Managing Director, said: "We have experienced growth thi syear of about 30% over the same period last year, which is largely due to the continued demand for high quality, high performance IPTV distribution technology. Our largest overseas market is in the USA but Asia is following on very quickly behind and is definitely a territory of expansion and opportunity for us."

In the USA, Cabletime has expanded into new, larger premises and is employing a number of additional technical staff to support customer needs. In Europe, Cabletime has expanded the role of Peter Butler to Sales for the UK and Norther Europe, where he is focusing on Cabletime's network of distributors and resellers; and Mark Stanborough is now responsible for sales and marketing for the UK and Eire; all under the management of Mike Cuckow, who continues in his role as Sales Director with responsibility for the Middle East, Asia and new emerging markets.

"These personnel changes reflect the experience and success of our team and allow us to consolidate our existing business, whilst also giving plenty of attention to new opportunities," said Nick Bradford.

The MediaStar range, which has a strong, established heritage, includes TV/AV and multimedia delivery products for use over Cat-5/UTP and IP infrastructure, providing solutions for live TV, corporate communications, multicasts, music TV, training and digital signage.
