Getting an early start on next week's IBC announcements, Danish end-to-end video management software company Xstream revealed today that it will debut the latest version of MediaMaker at its IBC booth. MediaMaker is a video management system, and version 7's new features are intended to help customers maximize revenue from their over-the-top (OTT) and TV Everywhere offerings.

With MediaMaker 7, Xstream aims to help customers deploy OTT and TV Everywhere solutions faster. Improvements to version 7 include the choice between on-premises and cloud installation, a set of APIs for extending functionality, an improved administration console, and an ingest module that customers can use to create an automated ingest workflow.

Other improvements to MediaMaker 7 include better usage analytics, a player configuration module that works in both HTML5 and Flash, and a revised live module that will help customers deliver and monetize live and Flow TV events.

“Built around our vision for offering the industry-leading proven, innovative video management system with state-of-the-art usability, automation, flexibility, and customization, MediaMaker 7.0 combines all our experience with a range of breakthrough innovations that promise to transform how OTT and TV Everywhere solutions are created, monetized, and deployed,” says Frank Thorup, Xstream's CEO.

Xstream will show MediaMaker 7 at IBC stand 14.122.
