Music video site Vevo and video sharing site Dailymotion announced that they have extended their existing syndication agreement to include the U.K., France, Ireland, Italy, and Spain. Under the agreement, Dailymotion's catalog of over 75,000 music clips -- including music videos, concert footage, and original music-oriented web shows -- will be available on-demand to viewers in those five European countries. Vevo content will be ad-supported, but free to view. Under the two company's previous agreement, Vevo content was only available to Dailymotion viewers in the United States. Neither company disclosed the financial terms of the expanded agreement.

“Dailymotion is committed to providing our users with great original content, and music is one of our most popular areas, so we are very excited to extend our partnership with Vevo on this," said Marc Eychenne, head of content EMEA at Dailymotion. "This will provide great content to our European users and a platform to help Vevo reach many more music fans.”

According to comScore measurements from May of this year, Dailymotion is the 31st most-visited web site in the world. It currently serves over 2.5 billion views each month to 115 million unique visitors. It offers 34 local versions in 16 different languages.
