Cognacq-Jay Image Acquires BeBanjo

A major acquisition was announced today as Cognacq-Jay Image, the French provider of broadcast and broadband technical services, picked up BeBanjo, the Spanish back-office software vendor. BeBanjo's tools are used by teams managing on-demand services.

By combining, the two companies will be able to offer complete digital media solutions for both linear and non-linear platforms. They'll target platforms operators, broadcasters, and content owners, offering a full-service solutions for distributing media to multiple devices, platforms, and countries.

BeBanjo will now join Cognacq-Jay Image and SmartJog in the TDF Group Multimedia Business Unit. It will continue to be headquartered in Spain and will keep its own distinct identity.
